Facts/Liability:                       Plaintiff was a young female returning home from visiting a friend. As she was proceeding at about 50 mph on a dark New Hampshire rural road, the Defendant, a 21-year-old, was parked on the right-hand side of the road. Just as the Plaintiff got up to that parked car, the Defendant decided to pull a U-turn in front of the Plaintiff and crashed into her car.  The Defendant then took off down the street.  The Plaintiff had to chase him to get his plate number. 

Defense:                                  No injury noted on the police report.  Delayed one week in seeking treatment.

Injuries:                                   Plaintiff suffered a concussion with persistent headaches, cervical strain with radiculopathy diagnosed two weeks after the accident, cervicalgia and cervicogenic headache, mid to low back pain, cervical MRI revealed small central disc protrusions at C4-5 through C6-7, and left scapular myofascial pain.

Special Damages:                   $37,000.00

Settlement:                             $82,000.00 prior to suit
