2014 Veteran’s Day Free Meals and Discounts

Please keep in mind that you will need Proof of Military Service. First, most companies require some form of military ID – including a U.S. Uniform Services ID Card (active/reserve/retired), Current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), Photograph in uniform, be wearing uniform (if your service permits), Veterans Organization Card (e.g., American Legion and VFW), DD214, discharge paperwork, or other form of identification. Other restaurants and companies may only require a photo of you in uniform, or go by the honor system.

Also, always call ahead to verify locations, times, and participation.

Applebee’s
On Veteran’s Day, November 11th, veterans and active duty military enjoy a free signature entree at all Applebee’s.  Dine-in from limited menu only.  Must show proof of military service.

Bob Evans Restaurants
This Veterans Day, Bob Evans Farms salutes service to country with a hearty plate of hotcakes. The company announced today that veterans and active military personnel will receive free all–you-can-eat hotcakes at its restaurants on Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11.  All these honored servicemen and women need do is show a valid military ID.

California Pizza Kitchen
On November 11th, all veterans and active military can choose one entrée from their special Veterans Day Menu, dine-in only.  Please come in uniform or bring your military ID or other proof of service. Offer valid at participating locations; not valid at locations in Guam, airports, stadiums, or international locations.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill
Through November 11th, all active and retired veterans can enjoy a free appetizer at Carrabba’s. Choose from any of their hand-prepared appetizers, like their Calamari or Bacon & Caramelized Onion Flatbread. It’s their way of saying thank you for serving our country.  With proof of service; military ID or in uniform.

Denny’s
To honor and thank our nation’s heroes this Veterans Day, Denny’s invites active, inactive and retired military personnel to stop by participating locations for a free Build Your Own Grand Slam® on Tuesday, Nov. 11, from 5 a.m. to noon.  {Special thanks to their PR company for sending me the information!}

Famous Dave’s
On November 11th, former and active military are invited to come in and receive a free One Meat Salute on us. Choose from one meat, a corn muffin, and a side.  Participating locations only. From 11:00 am to 4:30 pm. Proof of service required. Dine In only. Does not include dessert,beverage, or appetizer. One One Meat Salute per Military member.

Golden Corral
On Monday, November 17th, all military service members and veterans are welcome to join Golden Corral’s Free Military Dinner, from 5:00-9:00 PM.

IHOP
In honor of Veteran’s Day, from 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM on November 11th, IHOP invites all veterans and active duty military personnel to enjoy 2 buttermilk pancakes, topped with strawberries, whipped topping, and blueberry compote.  Served with 2 eggs, hash browns, and your choice of 2 bacon strips or 2 sausage links.  Dine-In only.  Proof of service required.

Krispy Kreme
Krispy Kreme will celebrate Veteran’s Day on Tuesday, November 11th by offering a Free Doughnut (any variety) and a Small Coffee to all Veterans at participating Krispy Kreme shops locations. No purchase necessary. A free doughnut and small coffee will be given to anyone who identifies themselves as a veteran or active duty military personnel (no ID required).

Longhorn Steakhouse
On November 11th, LongHorn Steakhouse will offer veterans and active military members a complimentary Texas Tonion appetizer and non-alcohol beverage with proof of service.  {Special thanks to their PR company for sending me the information!}

McCormick and Schmick’s Seafood and Steaks
On Sunday, November 9th, all McCormick locations are offering Veterans a complimentary meal (from a select menu).  All veterans must show official verification.  Entrees must be enjoyed at the restaurant.

Mission BBQ
Mission BBQ will once again thank, honor, and salute our country’s veterans and active military personnel on Veterans Day, November 11th.  For the fourth consecutive year, the day will kick off at Noon with a live rendition of the National Anthem performed by an active military member at all MISSION BBQ locations in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and North Carolina. Each restaurant will serve complimentary turkey, pork, and brisket sandwiches to all veterans and active military all day, in addition to free slices of cake while supplies last.

Olive Garden
Olive Garden restaurants will offer a free entrée from a special menu to active-duty military and military veterans. The special menu features seven of Olive Garden’s most popular items. Veterans with military ID or proof of military service receive a FREE Create Your Own Combo entrée (Choose 2 or Choose 3 options). Valid on Monday 11/11/14 only. Dine-in only.

Outback Steakhouse
Military Personnel with valid ID will receive a FREE Bloomin’ Onion and a beverage on November 11, 2014.  Also, between November 12-December 31, 2014, Outback Steakhouse is offering a Military Mates 15% OFF discountto any Military Personnel with valid ID.

Red Lobster
From Monday, November 10th through Thursday, November 13th, Red Lobster will be thanking veterans, active duty and active serving military, as well as reservists for their service with a free select appetizer.  The full list of Veteran’s Day free appetizers is as follows: Crispy Shrimp Lettuce Wraps, Sweet Chili Shrimp, Parrot Isle Jumbo Coconut Shrimp, Lobster-Artichoke-and-Seafood Dip, Lobster-Crab-and-Seafood-Stuffed Mushrooms, Lobster Pizza, Chilled Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, Crispy Calamari and Vegetables, Mozzarella Cheesesticks, White Wine and Roasted-Garlic Mussels, and Shrimp Nachos.  {Special thanks to their PR company for sending me the information!}

B&B’s for Vets
Each year, the B&B industry celebrates the sacrifices offered by our courageous vets by offering free rooms on or around Veteran’s Day.   Inns and B&Bs throughout the U.S. and Canada will open their doors to thank veterans for their service on Monday, November 10th and  Tuesday, November 11th, 2014.

Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Between November 8-11, U.S. military personnel and veterans will receive 20% off their entire in-store purchase at Bed, Bath, and Beyond.  Just show a valid form of ID.

Lowe’s Home Improvement
Lowe’s established the Everyday 10% Military Discount to support the men and women who are currently serving our country in the Armed Services1 and to honor Retired Veterans and VA Recipients.  This 10% discount is also extended to the immediate family of those who are currently serving, Retired Veterans, or VA Recipients.  On Veteran’s Day, we extend the discount to all veterans who served honorably and who present a valid Form DD214 or other proof of service.

National Parks
On November 11th, all U.S. National Parks are waiving their entrance fees in honor of Veteran’s Day!  This applies to everyone, not just military!  To find a park near you, click here.

In honor of Veteran’s Day, from November 8-11, all active duty, DOD, Reserves, Guard, Retirees, Veterans, and Military Spouses receive 20% off their entire purchase at World Market.  Requires valid form of ID.
