Avoid a DUI/DWI Charge This 4th of July

July Fourth and the law

With the 4th of July just around the corner, it is important to keep in mind that the 4th of July is one of the holidays where law enforcement officers often increase their efforts at DUI detection.  If you are celebrating our independence day with family and friends, be mindful that you don’t put yourself in a situation where you may lose your freedom to operate a motor vehicle in the State of New Hampshire (or other states).

One of the ways that DUI detection is increased in certain holidays is sobriety check points.  If you are arrested as a result of being stopped at a field sobriety check point, be sure to contact an attorney to protect your rights.  Any field sobriety check point in the State of New Hampshire has to comply with both the Federal and State constitutions.  If you or someone you know is faced with a DUI charge, contact us for a free phone consultation. It is important to know your rights.
