Young Leaders From the Philippines travel to Manchester
/Atty. James Normand, Army Reserve Ambassador for N.H., hosted a delegation of government officials from the Philippines addressing, Government Leadership, Accountability and Corruption Reduction. Said Normand, I was impressed that in the post “Marcos” era, the Philippines has become a world leader in the adoption of anti-corruption legislation. While they came to learn from us, we have learned much from them also. For example, their National Office of Ombudsman, and government official asset reporting law could be a model for the rest of the world, including the U.S. The group also met with N.H. state and local officials.
The meeting was in coordination with the NH World Affairs Council and The US State Dept. international Visitor Leadership Program.
